19-11-09 Visa-Free to Guam up to 45 Days

The Immigration Department announced on Oct 30, 2009 that Hong Kong SAR passport holders will be able to visit Guam visa-free for up to 45 days starting from Nov 28, 2009. HKSAR passport holders will need to present valid Hong Kong Permanent Identity Cards upon arrival in Guam along with their HKSAR passport.
The Immigration Department has been notified by the American Consulate General, Hong Kong regarding the above-mentioned arrangements.
The arrangements offer greater convenience to HKSAR passport holders and help promote trade, business and tourism links between Hong Kong and Guam.
Guam, situated in the Western Pacific, is the biggest island in Micronesia. It offers a lot of sunshine, unspoiled waters and magnificent beaches appealing to numerous travelers. The underwater world in Guam is also full of excitement with different kinds of tropical fishes and coral reefs which provides the fantastic view during diving.
